What does your company do?

I'm a personal chef in Brookhaven, and I started my company about eight years ago. We come into the client's home and prepare all the food on-site. I try to make my service really special by researching recipes, constantly reading about food, and trying new foods all the time. And I take a lot of pride in my presentation of the food so that when you see a plate of food before you it looks really special and it definitely looks like something you'd want to eat.

What makes you different from other chefs?

I personally like to see a pretty plate. So I want the client to see a pretty plate. I want the client's guests to see a pretty plate. I want them to feel like they're being treated special. It's a special occasion and they have hired me to come in and prepare a nice meal.

How do you come up with the menu?

All my menus are personalized based on the client's needs and on what type of party it is. Whether it's a dinner party, a buffet, or an appetizer party, I work with the client specifically to develop a menu based on how the client wants to eat. I also consider any dietary restrictions or food allergies.

What size parties do you like to do? Minimum and maximum?

If it's a sit-down, formal, “serve-every-course” meal, usually six people is the minimum. I can do appetizer parties up to about 75 people and buffet parties up to about 45-50 people.

Do you serve the food too?

Yes, I stay on-site to serve every course, plate every appetizer, or set up the buffet until the guests are finished. If it's a large party I hire people to come and help me so my team and I will be on-site the entire time to make sure everything goes perfectly, make sure that the client is happy, and make sure everything is cleaned up when we leave.

Who is your ideal client?

My ideal client would live in the Brookhaven or Buckhead area, because I like to work within a certain radius if I can. My ideal client would be someone who enjoys food and gives me the opportunity to explore within their parameters to make something special so that their party is a success.
